We don't think about fertility when we are younger, I mean why would we? But if having children is something you think you may like in your future, I would advise you to have a fertility check done privately. (I can provide contacts if in the UK that I recommend). It is money worth spent to become a little more aware of what your future may hold for you.
Did you know that 88% of our eggs may be gone by the time we are 30? And that we are left with as little as 3% at 40!
If you had asked me only a few years ago how many children I would like, I would have said 4. Now if you ask me, my answer would be if I can have 1, that would be a miracle and a dream come true.
We think we can plan our lives...
When we have children, how many we will have, and how many years apart they will be, but it really isn't that simple and life sadly isn't that perfect.
Anyone that knows me, will know how much I long to be a mother. It is all I want. But now, the reality is that I may never get the chance. I have been told numerous times "but you can do what you want when you want if you don't have children, and you can actually sleep!" But do you know what? I would choose a baby over anything.
I truly just want to be a mother and I never thought it may be taken away from me. All I can do is hope.
